Georgia Skoumbis
Ms. Skoumbis is a member of the California State Bar and licensed to practice law before all California State courts and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Skoumbis spent the first four years of her career at the multi-national law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP in civil litigation where she received rigorous training in legal analysis, as well as written and oral advocacy. Thereafter, Ms. Skoumbis continued to practice on business litigation matters, including intellectual property and real estate contractual disputes.
After over a decade in business litigation practice, Gia has transitioned into family law so that she can apply her rigorous training in advocacy and knowledge of business law matters to a more personal context. Practicing at Moder Berman allows her to work closely with individuals during some of the most challenging and transformative periods of their lives. She is driven to help clients navigate emotionally and factually complex situations in divorce, custody and support matters, and strives to achieve results in the best interests of the client.
Gia graduated from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, participating in the Berkeley-Harvard Law Exchange Program her last year. Gia graduated summa cum laude from University of California, Los Angeles, where she received her B.A. in political science, with a minor in International Relations, and is a member of the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa.
